Description

This 5 page PDF is a guided internet research project formatted to go long with the Lonely Planet Europe site. The website is visually very well done and highly organized.

The guide directs student to read and report out about specific topics, while also allowing students some freedom to choose items of interest, thus personalizing thier project and making it more interesting for students.

Topics covered include top attractions, recent news events, tours and activities and trip planning things to know.

I have had students do this project with a partner and also by themselves. It takes about 2 - 50 minute periods. You could extend it into a longer block lesson by first doing some introductions to Europe of your own.

This would also work well as a sub lesson plan or make up lesson for a student who missed a unit on Europe. World Language Teachers could also use this lesson during Foreign Language Week.

Happy teaching! Thanks for looking!
