Description
Excellent, engaging, and detailed two-day lesson! Students take part in a thorough simulation of the Estates-General, taking on the persona of a member of one of the estates. Students vote on new laws and propositions leading to the Third Estate to march out and swear an oath on the tennis court in real time! After the simulation, student compare their grievances about pre-Revolutionary France with primary source cahiers de doleance. Engaging and interactive. The students absolutely LOVE this activity and talk about it every year!
