Do you work with mixed groups? I have found that if I can use the same content with different supports that my groups go smoother. Songs are something that can assist in the development of language as well as other learning (rhyming, counting, etc.). The repetition of the lyrics aids in memory and the fact that the vowels are elongated assists some children in developing verbal skills.
