Celebrate the end of the year countdown with a Popcorn Day! These end of the year countdown Popcorn Day activities incorporate all of the subjects, including math, science, ELA, art and STEM. Plus, these Popcorn Day activities are sure to keep your kiddos engaged during your final countdown to the last day of school! Even if you’re not quite ready to end the year, a Popcorn Day is a nice celebration for anytime of the year... end of the marking period or semester, end of a testing period, in place of a holiday celebration, or whenever you’d like! Choose the popcorn activities that work best for you, as they are very low prep!

Materials List and Donation Letter - Organize and prep ahead of time with the included materials list and donation letter.
Poppin’ Corn Experiment - First, hypothesize what you think will happen to the popcorn kernels when they are placed in a mixture of water, baking soda and vinegar. Then, observe the popcorn kernels as they “pop” up and down.
Best Popping Brand Experiment - Determine which brand of popcorn is the best by counting, tallying and graphing how many unpopped kernels are in each bag.
Popcorn Races - Estimate how many pieces of popcorn you can blow across the table and into a popcorn bag/box in one minute. Then, complete the activity to see how close you were to your guess.
Popcorn Volume - Compare the volume of various containers using popcorn kernels and popcorn.
Popcorn Poetry - Who says poetry needs to be difficult?! Not with this five senses Popcorn Poem template!
Five Senses Investigation - Let’s investigate popcorn using our five senses.
Poppin’ Numbers - Use popcorn or packing peanuts to complete the ten frame(s).
