Description
Using skills I've learned by teaching theatre in the elementary school for many years, I enhance what they do by teaching students to enact three of them: "Hey Diddle Diddle"," Little Miss Muffet", and "Old King Cole" (each posted separately). We also act out one speech from Shakespeare which is posted separately.
When teaching nursery rhymes, I teach them how to use “their mute buttons” and something I call “TV countdown” to help keep them quiet and focused during the rehearsals and performances.
Each line or two of the rhyme has a movement and maybe a special way to say it. I list what I use and how to teach this to students.
