Emergency Sub Plans Combined Slides (All-in-One)

    Description

Create an Emergency Sub Binder with the Ultimate Guide to Seamless Sub Plans: Your Lifesaver in Classroom Emergencies!

Do you dread being out of the classroom, worrying about whether your substitute will effectively manage your students and keep the learning environment on track? Say goodbye to sub-plan anxiety with this comprehensive resource to make substitute teaching days a breeze.

What's Inside? 30+ pages of Lesson Plans with Clear Instructions! These ready-to-use lesson plans are adaptable to any subject area or textbook.

    • Vocabulary Tasks: No vocabulary words? No problem! I have included a list for you. The list of academic vocabulary words includes terms like evaluate, distinguish, and recount.
    • Quiz Questions: If your students have a textbook to read an assigned chapter from, have them create quiz questions using my step-by-step instructions! The substitute can then use these quiz questions for a grudgeball or trashketball game as a reward for good behavior. It’s a WIN! WIN!
    • 3 Facts: So simple, versatile, and engaging! This is one of my go-to activities, with or without a sub! It works with online or printed articles and news stories. It works with student textbooks. It works with infographics and data charts. It works as a daily warm-up (morning work) with current event news broadcasts like CNN 10.
    • Read an Infographic: Students love infographics! I keep copies of infographics in my emergency plans with the two-sided “Reading an Infographic” page. You can find and print infographics from the internet or a book of infographics in the library. I have included an infographic about pizza to get you started.
    • Showing a Video: Use my engaging activities with ANY video! If a sub shows a video, students will most likely be off-task or engaging in misbehavior. Attach an assignment to the video-watching activity to minimize behavior issues. I have included two options to choose from.
    • Find a Map or Find a Graph: I use these pages with my World History textbook, but they will work with a textbook in ANY subject area as long as there are maps or charts/graphs. I like these activities for emergencies because they don’t require information about where we are in the book. Students will look through the entire book and choose ANY map or graph they are interested in to analyze.
    • Crossword Puzzles and Word Searches for early finishers and MUCH MORE!

Who Can Benefit from this Product?

As described above, the versatile lessons included in this resource are intended to work with any subject area, textbook, or printed nonfiction resource. Secondary teachers who teach Math may want a more math-centered resource for their substitute lesson plans. The lessons will be much too challenging for grades k-3.

    Why Choose this Product?

Tested and Approved: Developed by a 6th-grade English and History teacher with 22 years of classroom experience. I created this guide based on my past successes with my sub plans. When I got to the point where subs left notes saying, "This class ran itself! It was such an easy day," I knew I finally had it right.

BONUS! These reusable lessons can be assigned every time you have a sub all year! New textbook chapter- same assignment. New vocabulary list- same assignment. Your students will get better at doing work for a sub as they become familiar with the expectations of the tasks.

I also worked as a substitute teacher for grades k-5 before finalizing this product to ensure I provided the best resource possible. Seeing things from the other side of the sub plans was enlightening! Even a seasoned veteran with 22 years of classroom teaching experience can have a chaotic day as a sub when plans and procedures are not clearly laid out!

Don't let sub-plan uncertainty disrupt your classroom flow or keep you from taking a mental health day. Invest in the Ultimate Guide to Seamless Sub Plans today and reclaim your peace of mind!
