Here are some additional ideas for how to use these task cards:

  • Have students play a game of "Scoot" with the cards. Place the cards face down on the floor and have students move around the room. When the music stops, students must pick up a card and identify the fraction.
  • Use the cards as part of a center activity. Have students work with partners or small groups to complete the task cards.
  • Use the cards as a quiz or assessment. Have students write the fraction that represents the shaded part of each shape.
