Element Families Sort

Give your students the opportunity to practice classification of periodic table families when studying the structure of the periodic table. Students may cut up the blocks and sort the characteristics among the family names. Either have students glue on a piece of paper when they are finished or have them label the backs of the cards and store in a sandwich bag stapled to a piece of notebook paper to complete as study prep.
