When students flip over the Memory cards and see the matching borders, they will instantly know that they got a match. All they have to do is read your curriculum questions on the cards and find the correct answer or matching terms, and self-check by the matching border frames.

GAME 1

I created these originally for my daughter's 4th grade teacher. I put a foreign language root word on one card, and the translation/meaning on another card. The teacher copied the cards onto bright yellow card stock and cut them apart. The whole class was divided up into groups and was totally engaged in finding matching cards - but THEY WERE LEARNING AT THE SAME TIME! What a compliment when the principal's daughter told me she really enjoyed the game.

GAME 2

The 4th grade teacher used the same Memory cards for a mix-n-mingle game in which she passed out all the cards to students and they had to meander around the classroom finding the person with the matching information on their own card. How did they know if they found their correct partner? The matching border frames, of course! It's self-checking. It's easy!

GAME 3

Play Go Fish with the same cards. Just copy the game cards however many times you want.
