Description

Dear teachers,

Please enjoy these Frayer Models that I have designed specifically for math. I personally use Frayer Models for every unit with mathematic instruction. With traditional models there is a section “non example.” What I struggled with as a math teacher was that my students could not easily come up with a non-example or it would confuse them more. I created these with a section called “Proof/Drawing” rather than “non-example” because nearly every math vocabulary word can be proven or pictorially represented.

You may have to play around with the printing sizes to fit your Interactive Student Notebooks, or where ever you are having them kept. I typically will print them at 80 so that they do not take up the whole page on a notebook. (See link below or preview for a picture.)

You can see how I use this in my classroom here:

A few ways that I use Frayer models in my classroom:
• I do gallery walks; students walk around and look at a giant Frayer model that I have filled out.
• Guided notes
• Jig Saw the words out, have each table “teach” other students
• Interactive note books (See above)
• Center activity (give blank, students have to use the Internet, text books, word walls, posters to fill out.

In this preview I am offering a FREEBIE. You can get a PDF copy of each of the three Frayer Models for Math, in a non-editable form. When you purchase this product you are purchasing the ability to edit the Frayer model in PPT, so that you can set up your notes in a similar way that I have in the picture.

Like what you see? Leave me feedback! I am constantly looking to improve my items!

Please email me if you have any questions or with pictures that have my product in use in your classroom!! I would love to see how you are using them ☺.

Cheers,
Jameson
