This also provides a unique activity to implement with your study of Dark Romanticism.
Help facilitate your students' ability to think critically and creatively through the implementation of the Edgar Allan Poe Interactive Image Technology Project!
Students will love to showcase their knowledge of one of Poe’s short stories by creating a dynamic, interactive image that includes tagged sound files, songs, images, videos, and hyperlinks to related websites. The resource materials can be used with any device and are fully editable. The project takes 2-3 days to complete and is designed for 7th-12th grade.
After reading a short story by Poe, students will first create a photo collage of related images. Several free collage-maker websites are linked to the Interactive Image Student Project Handout.
Next, Students will search for related online content to include as an embedded “tag” in Genially (a user-friendly, highly-rated free educational tech tool and website).
By searching for video files, audio, songs, and images, students will be given the opportunity to analyze and select more than one source type to represent their knowledge and analysis of one of Poe’s short stories.
