Description

Are mega-American corporations are bad for society?

Are American corporations unethical for hiring foreign sweatshop laborers?

Should the United States be the scapegoat for the diminishing global supply of natural resources?

These are just a few of the many questions addressed in the quick write after students have watched "The Story of Stuff."

Students are to fill out the "Notes" page during the video in order to gather statistics and facts relayed during the video. They will then use their notes to write a short essay addressing the questions above (in addition to many other questions).

There will then be a class discussion on the topics of American consumerism.

The link for the video is included in the handout.
