Description

This project is designed to help students realize the reality of food cost in a budget for a week. In this activity students are given different levels of income to spend on food for a week. Based on the income given to them, students design a week's worth of meals. After planning students are sent to a local grocery store to shop for all necessary items to complete their meals. After totaling the grocery list students are asked to reflect upon their choices and make better choices in shopping for food in the future.
