This Literacy Pack is for the books George Washington: America's First President, by Justin McCory Martin; Abraham Lincoln: A Great President, a Great American, by Violet Findley; Martin Luther King, Jr.: A Man With a Dream, by Alyse Sweeney; Betsy Ross: The Story of Our Flag, by Pamela Chanko; Squanto: A Friend to the Pilgrims, by Carol Ghiglieri; and Alexander Graham Bell: A Famous Inventor, by Justin McCory Martin. Each unit contains 6 different activities that students could do independently or in a reading group:

    - 10 vocabulary cards with matching definitions that could be copied back to back for flashcards or single-sided for a memory game

    - A vocabulary worksheet using the 10 words from the cards

    - Cut and paste sequencing with 5 sentences from the story

    - 1 comprehension worksheet in the style of 2nd grade diagnostic and 3rd grade AIR test questions with 1 short answer, 2 multiple choice, and 2 extended response questions

    - 1 3-dimensional pyramid (square base) cut out activity to display for the character

    - Answer key

I generally use these for an entire week. Perfect for your level I-J reading group! If you follow my store, you can save 50% on my new offerings for the first 24 hours. Thanks for looking!
