Description

A student-made Easter book, count the room activity, art activity, classroom display, and student gift tags based on The Colors of Easter jelly bean poem. The Colors of Easter poem is a fun, meaningful way for children to relate jelly bean colors to the story of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. These engaging religious activities are perfect for Christian schools, Sunday school programs, CCD, homeschool programs, or parents.

In the count-the-room activity, students will review and reinforce the symbols for each jelly bean color as well as the order of events in the poem. They also work on recognizing, reading, and writing color words, counting, matching, and writing numbers.

When creating their student-made books students will read and review the poem, trace the color words, and color the jelly beans the appropriate colors. This gives the students a hand-made keepsake and reminder of the poem and its story.

The classroom display will give students a colorful visual to remind them of The Colors of Easter poem. The fact that they created the jelly beans for the display makes it more meaningful.

The student gift tags can be attached to a baggie of jelly beans and given to students as an Easter treat and reminder of the poem.
