Description
Use the Pythagorean Theorem on these fun and engaging EASTER THEMED worksheets and activities!
Activity 1: Easter Pythagorean Theorem Missing Lengths Worksheet or Digital Mystery Picture
Solve for Missing Side Lengths using the Pythagorean Theorem on this hands-on cut and paste activity worksheet or assign it on Google Sheets as a Digital Mystery Picture. It is a great activity to use as independent practice, for review, for a sub day, or something to mathematically celebrate Easter!
Cut & Paste: Students will solve for 9 total side lengths of right triangles using the Pythagorean Theorem. Then, they will cut out the picture puzzle pieces that contain their answer and glue them on top of their corresponding solutions. It will create a fun picture that they can color. It is self-checking with the puzzle picture pieces.
Google Sheets Mystery Picture – The NO PREP DIGTIAL ACTIVITY is a self-checking activity - as they enter the correct answer, a Mystery Picture will appear. Once you purchase this item, download the PDF which will contain a link to copy the Google Sheet into your Google Drive; from there, you can share with students on your education platform of choice (i.e. Google Classroom).
Note to Buyer: This activity is meant to be used as either a hands-on cut and paste activity OR a Digital Mystery Picture Activity as the problems are the same for both versions. The digital version is ONLY available on Google Sheets.
Activity 2: Easter Converse of the Pythagorean Theorem and Hypotenuse Maze Worksheets
Use the Converse of the Pythagorean Theorem to determine if side lengths are a right triangle on a Maze and Calculate the Hypotenuse on a different Maze on these Easter themed math worksheets. They are perfect for extra review, a sub day, Homework, or something to help mathematically celebrate Easter!
Maze #1: Find the Hypotenuse, side c, given sides a and b. There are 8 problems as students work their way through the maze and reveal the secret word
Maze #2: Use the Converse of the Pythagorean Theorem to determine which sets of lengths are right triangles in 8 different problems.
Activity 3: Easter Pythagorean Theorem Distance Between Points Color by Number
Calculate the distance between two points using the Pythagorean Theorem on this Easter themed math worksheet. It is perfect for extra review, homework, a sub day, or something to help mathematically celebrate Easter!
There are 6 sets of points to find the distance between – one version has the points already plotted; the other has the coordinate planes blank. Students will create right triangles between the points and use the Pythagorean Theorem to calculate the distance, then, they will color the fun Easter picture based on their answers. You can check their work using the color-coded answer key.
Activity 4: Easter Pythagorean Theorem Digital Escape Room
A Pythagorean Theorem NO PREP Digital Escape, which can also be a LOW PREP PRINTABLE TASK CARDS version, is perfect for Easter! Great activity to use to review the Pythagorean Theorem and missing side lengths of right triangles! Perfect for a fun day, a review day, a sub day, or something to mathematically celebrate Easter!
Pythagorean Theorem Skills Used:
Solve for missing lengths in 3D Objects, Use the Converse of the Pythagorean Theorem to determine if side lengths form a right triangle, and solve for the hypotenuse, c.
There is NO PREP for the Digital Version, just share the Google Sites link included in the PDF download with your students and the Google Form; it is SELF-CHECKING.
The Printable Version is LOW PREP – students come and tell you their answers and you can verbally accept the “locks”. Answer Key included for easy and ready to teach! You can also assign the Google Form for locks.
Included:
•Link to the Digital Version of the Escape Room – located on Google Sites (website)
•Google Form of Digital Locks to Copy and Share so you can track which students have completed the Digital Escape, or use it for the Printable Version
•4 Printable Color Task Cards or 4 Printable Black & White Task Cards
•Student Worksheet for organizing work and codes
•Answer Key
Note to Buyer: The Digital Version is online on a Google Sites website and Google Form, the link is included in the PDF you will download. The Printable version comes as a PDF.
Activity 5: Easter Pythagorean Theorem in 3D Objects Secret Message Worksheets
Find the missing length in 3-D objects using the Pythagorean Theorem on these Easter themed math worksheets. They are perfect for extra review, homework, a sub day, or something to help mathematically celebrate Easter!
Students will calculate the missing length using the Pythagorean Theorem, then choose the letter that matches their answer. They will shade in all the letters that match their answers to reveal a fun Easter secret message!
Activity 6: Easter Pythagorean Theorem Missing Side Lengths Egg Wreath
Find the missing side of a right triangle using the Pythagorean Theorem on this 6 problem self-checking math activity. It is a great activity to use as independent practice for review or for a sub day!
Version 1: The Egg Wreath is already assembled. Students just solve, color, and cut out (if desired).
Version 2: The eggs are individual. Students will solve and color each egg, then cut them out. The eggs should be glued on top of the tab containing its corresponding answer, resulting in a wreath.
Activity 7: Proof of Pythagorean Theorem Cut and Paste Activity
This Proof of the Pythagorean Theorem Cut & Paste Math Activity is a great introduction to your students and the Pythagorean Theorem. Students will get a hands on experience cutting and pasting the areas of the legs of two right triangles to see how their sum equals the area of the hypotenuse. The follow up worksheet provides practice with Pythagorean Triples.
NOTE: The PROOF activity is NOT Easter themed
