Description

Looking for an Easter writing activity that that also makes an adorable bulletin board? This resource includes templates for a bunny peek over and a choice of three reading response writing activities aligned to the Common Core. These printables could be used during writer's workshop, centers or sent home for distance learning.

Includes:

  • Templates for the bunny peek over craft
  • Books suggested for writing responses
    • The Easter Egg by Jan Brett
    • Horton Hatches the Egg by Dr. Seuss
    • If I Were the Easter Bunny by Louise Gardner

  • 3 writing response sheets with a choice of prompts.

1. Opinion: Do you think the Easter Bunny picked the best egg? W1.1

2. Text-to-Text: How did The Easter Egg remind you of Horton Hatches the Egg? RL1.9

3. Narrative: Students write what they would do if they were the Easter Bunny. W1.3

I made this a TpT Easel Activity by adding text boxes to all of the writing sheets so you can use them during distance learning.

*I added Youtube and SafeShare links to share the story with remote students or use during a literacy center.
