Description
This Easter Bible Story bundle includes 3 resources to teach children the true meaning of the Easter Salvation Story while expanding their vocabulary and language skills of sequencing and retelling. It includes newly added bible story posters, vocabulary cards for word wall, differentiated retelling cut & paste activity, and an Easter Bible Story Student Coloring booklet.
The posters, student booklet and vocabulary cards are provided in both color/colour and black & white.
The booklet and story posters begin with Jesus entering Jerusalem (Palm Sunday) and covers the salvation story through the Last Supper, Jesus' trial, crucifixion, and resurrection to Jesus' ascension into heaven. Each story is summarized with student friendly language and pictures and is ideal for teaching Easter to grades 1 to 3.
The pages in the student booklet are pre-arranged in order so that you just have to print and fold to create the booklet. Just print, fold, and go! Detailed printing instructions are included with the Teacher Guide. The pages are numbered and the gospel passages are cited on the top right corner of each page. The student booklet is in black and white, so that students can colour and take home to share with their families.
The 48 vocabulary words align with the gospel readings in the student booklet. The variety of vocabulary words allow teachers to pick and choose which ones are best suited for their students - ideal for differentiation and combined grades. The vocabulary cards are perfect for an interactive word wall. The cards fit into most standard pocket charts.
Teacher Tip: Laminate the cards and affix with magnetic tape to use on magnetic boards.
The Easter Bible Story sequencing resource includes 3 versions of the activity, a 4-picture retell, 6-picture retell, and an 8-picture retell, in order to accommodate the different skill levels in a classroom.
