Description
This is a unit plan split into several days. Each day the students will learn or concentrate on a particular part of explorer history.
Day one - students will learn about Christopher Columbus, John Cabot, Juan Ponce de Leon, Vasco Nunez de Balboa, Henry Hudson, Ferdinand Magellan, Amerigo Vespucci, Samuel de Champlain, Jaques Cartier.
Day two - learn in more detail about the above explorers and their routes
Day three - students will read a bibliography of assigned explorer and write about the conditions on the ship
Day four - each student will be assigned an explorer and learn more about them
Day five - project work day
