Today's Book: Vacation under the Volcano by Mary Pope Osborne
This is the thirteenth book in the popular kid's series written by Osborne. Jack and Annie are now Master Librarians. Using their new magical library card, they will save many ancient books before they are destroyed. Today, they will go to the ancient city of Pompeii and save a book before the volcano erupts. Will they get in and out in time? We will learn a few basic facts about this ancient disaster. We can easily turn every classroom session into an exciting adventure. ^_^

Today's Lesson is all about: imagery and creative writing. We'll pretend to live in the ancient city and write a journal about our normal life here.

This 30-week course guarantees learning continuity, with each lesson structured to include a warm-up, vocabulary development, a reading exercise, reading comprehension questions, a targeted grammar lesson, and an assignment for homework.
