Description

Use this escape room to engage your students in review of parallel structure, semicolons & colons, ethos, pathos, & logos, and tone/figurative language.

Please let me know if you have any issues in the Q&A section. I am happy to assist.

This escape room "ESCAPE THE LIBRARY" is powered via Google Sites and Thinglink. (Thinglink is the real gem here. If you are not yet familiar with the resource, acquaint yourself! It is so cool.)

The digital 360 experience is meant to be fully immersive, interactive, and prep-free! Any teacher with 2:1 or 1:1 technology access should not hesitate to try this out with your students.

This escape room can be utilized as a prep-free drop-in lesson. It can also be used as enrichment for those students who finish early on other assignments. If you trust your students to use technology when you are absent, this would even make a fun sub plan.

Just post the link and go!

All LOCKS in this escape room were created using Google Forms. Once again, completely paperless! When students complete LOCK 4, a congratulatory certificate will confirm successful completion.

⚠️ While this resources is designated as "no prep," teachers will definitely want to preview the escape room ahead of time and make sure that they are comfortable with the clues, lock answers, and navigation of the escape room.

Standards Addressed:

⚠️ Teachers: PLEASE CHECK YOUR DISTRICT'S PRIVACY FILTER / FIREWALL PRIOR TO USING WITH STUDENTS. (Sometimes my digital escape rooms work just fine with teacher's accounts, but then student accounts receive error notifications or "request for access" notifications.)

You will need access to Google Sites, Google Forms, Google Slides, Jigsawplanet, Thinglink, and YouTube/EdPuzzle for this escape room experience. (If your district blocks YouTube, EdPuzzle should still work. There is a way to skip Jigsawplanet already embedded in the escape room in case your district blocks that.) I do not have control over your district's network or its restrictions, and if students are not authorized to access certain sites outside of the network, I am unable to solve these tech issues for you. You can contact your district's help desk / tech support to see if they can authorize access / unblock Google Sites.

Once again, direct all issues to the Q&A section. I will do my very best to help you. Some tech issues are outside of my control.
