    Description

This is a bundle of all my 5th grade ELA data trackers. Each tracker has:

    - A table with each standard from the each section of the ELA core, and a place for the students to rate their own understanding of each standard individually on a 4 point scale. Students can assess themselves before, during, and after that standard has been taught.

-There is a definition of what each number in the scale means, with a short description to help the students make a choice. It's as follows:

1 = I am a novice, I am just starting to learn this.

2 = I am an apprentice, I am starting to get it.

3 = I am a practitioner, I can mostly do it by myself.

4 = I am an expert, I can teach it to someone else.

    - There are pages for your students to make goals on the standards. They could be copied onto the back of the tracker, or you can copy as many of the pages you would like to make a little booklet, so they can make goals all year long. The goal section prompts the students to make a goal, explain how they plan to accomplish that goal, and a place to reflect on if they reached their goal or not.

This is a great resource to have in an interactive journal, and can be very helpful for standard based grading. It's also a great thing to have if you do student led parent/teacher conferences. It is AMAZING for the students to tell their parents exactly where they are in their own learning. (Many parents have been impressed.)

This tracker is 100% editable, so you can move the standards around to be in the order you teach them.
