Description

This *EDITABLE* plan book is aligned with the 5th Grade Common Core Standards and the Math Workshop model. In this book, not only can you plan your Workshop, but also ensure that you teach (and that your students MASTER) each of the math standards this year. This EDITABLE MATH WORKSHOP – LESSON PLAN BOOK includes many useful and effective features, including:
- Rotation Schedule
- Sample Rotation Schedule
- List of Standards (“I Can” Statements & Examples) for EACH COMMON CORE
- Math Workshop – Grouping Sheets (for each strand)
- Weekly Lesson Plan Templates – TEACHER FOCUS LESSON (for each group/strand)
- Weekly Lesson Plan Templates – ROTATIONS (for each group/strand)
- “Remember for Next Year” Notes Sheet (for each strand)
- Common Core Mastery Checklist (one sheet with ALL students & ALL standards)
- Math-at-a-Glance Calendar (2014-2015 School Year)

EVERY PAGE IS EDITABLE! So you can do ELECTRONIC COPIES of your plans on a .PPT document!

I hope this plan book makes your transition into the Math Workshop model as smooth as it has for me. Although it may not be as “cute” as my regular, non-editable version, it may better fit your needs depending on what you are looking for.

Please email me with any suggestions, questions, or comments, and leave me feedback on my site! Thank you again for your purchase!!! ENJOY!!! :-)

Convert among different-sized standard measurement units within a given measurement system (e.g., convert 5 cm to 0.05 m), and use these conversions in solving multi-step, real world problems.
Make a line plot to display a data set of measurements in fractions of a unit (1/2, 1/4, 1/8). Use operations on fractions for this grade to solve problems involving information presented in line plots. For example, given different measurements of liquid in identical beakers, find the amount of liquid each beaker would contain if the total amount in all the beakers were redistributed equally.
Recognize volume as an attribute of solid figures and understand concepts of volume measurement.
Measure volumes by counting unit cubes, using cubic cm, cubic in, cubic ft, and improvised units.
Relate volume to the operations of multiplication and addition and solve real world and mathematical problems involving volume.
