Great low-prep resource for a budgeting project. Students receive $1,000 to redo their bedroom. They get to go to IKEA and purchase furniture, but MUST stay in the budget. Students will have to use addition and subtraction skills, reasoning, and must know area and perimeter. This is a great project for Math or Social Studies during an economics unit.

  • All links are provided within the google slides. Students will not have to search on their own and get lost on the IKEA website.
  • All slides are editable

How to assign:

  1. Once you click on “make a copy” you will be able to view the file in edit mode. You will want to rename the file.
  2. You are now ready to assign the work to your class. Select your class and push “Create Assignment.” Add a title to your assignment with any additional instructions.
  3. Click on the Google Drive icon in order to add the file to your assignment. The assignment is in your Google Drive.
  4. Next to the file attachment, make sure to select the option to MAKE A COPY FOR EACH STUDENT. This way student can not edit or change the original copy.
  5. You are now ready to assign the work!
