Description

Are you looking for a fun way to incorporate coding into your math curriculum? This product is designed to be used with Bee-Bot or BluBot coding robots and will coordinate well with your study of doubles facts. This product can easily be used during your center rotations or Daily 5 time and will give your students the opportunity to seamlessly practice their coding skills and their doubles facts to 18.

Each page includes a 15cm by 15cm picture square which will need to be printed and then assembled to create a Bee-Bot mat. Squares may be put in any order you'd like and also include an overlap tab to help you line up your pieces. Extra tabs can be trimmed off.

This set includes 3 different doubles facts visuals (dominoes for facts 1+1 to 9+9, hands, visual representations) which you can use as a complete set or mix and match with the other sets to create a mat with various visuals of doubles facts. The product preview shows a sample of the 3 different sets. Also included are 3 sets of programming cards including the number equations (2+2), the sums, and a set that says, Double 6, etc.

If your district uses the Origo© Stepping Stones © 1st grade math curriculum these cards fit great into Mod 5!

To create different variations of the mat, create a Bee-Bot mat from of a piece of clear 12 gauge vinyl that has been sectioned off into 15cm x 15cm squares (I use a permanent marker to do this). After printing and laminating your pieces, simply tape them on to the back side of the mat. You can now easily move pieces to different locations and storage of the pieces is much easier.
