What educators are saying

Great resource and very easy to implement into my curriculum for high at risk and ED diagnosed students.

Description

Perfect for virtual learning, remote learning, distance learning, eLearning, etc.

Comes with a free video!

What you get:

1. Differentiated Practice Set: Have your students practice reading and creating both dot plots and line plots, while addressing the distribution of the data. From bell curves to skewed left or right, your students will practice identifying statistical elements in the various graphs provided. A mixture of multiple response, true-false and fill-in-the-blank questioning makes this a truly powerful practice set. There’s even space to show work, right on the page!

2. Video & Quiz: The real gem is the embedded QR code. Simply scan and learn! Imagine a math practice page that comes with a tutor, to guide students through every question. Now imagine that this same practice page has an integrated quiz, for immediate feedback. Visible to both the student and the teacher! Let’s take it one step further. A video with subtitles, allowing the flexibility for viewing without sound. Not enough? How about subtitles that can automatically translate the content into 300+ languages! All of this is included in the first practice set.

3. Quality Answer Keys: Answer keys with work! These color-coded keys provide easy to follow work, to make sense of the solutions, while quick identifying correct answers. This allows students to figure out where they went wrong. It also models effective communication of mathematical thinking.

Special Note: The embedded videos are hosted on edpuzzle.com. No log in required! No ads! No usernames or passwords to remember. These are subtitled videos with built in self-graded comprehension questions. This has proven to be an invaluable resource for my own students and parents alike. Whether absent from class or simply stuck at home, it really levels the playing field for all students. As a bonus, it’s really good at eliminating excuses for why work cannot be completed. For access to translations in over 300 languages, a video by the same name, is also available on YouTube. Although it foregoes the digital feedback provided on edpuzzle, it allows students with language barriers to access the math content.

Pro Option: Although the video and embedded quiz are free, there is an option to activate a Pro account on edpuzzle, for increased functionality. With an upgraded account, teachers can track the comprehension scores on completed practice pages for each registered student. This can be hugely beneficial in a variety of ways. Scores can be used to assign homework grades, free up class time by eliminating the need to “go over homework”, accurately identify which students need additional support without the need for additional assessments, or simply to inform parents of timely assignment follow-through and comprehension.
