Document Based Questions: Epidemics - Then and Now

Get your students reading closely and thinking about historical and/or current events by answering document based questions, or DBQs. This activity encourages students to interpret and use a variety of sources to respond to questions or prompts, allowing student to think like historians by gathering, analyzing, and organizing information from the sources provided. Students are required to think critically by interpreting and developing meaning, rather than just restating a textbook ‘s interpretation.

In this specific activity, students compare the causes and effects of Ebola outbreak of 2014 with the Tuberculosis outbreak of 1914.
