Description

This is the best 15 minutes of professional development in mathematics you are likely to get. It explains in detail the three different types of division models, using concrete examples, that you should be introducing to your third grade students, or reviewing with your 4th, 5th & 6th grade students.

It is incredibly important, because without this knowledge, your students will be unable to do the following:

• Solve a word problem (because the keyword approach is nonsense.)
• Divide fractions and decimals
• Solve an algebraic equation.

This is companion to my best selling Division and Long Division: You're Teaching It Wrong

Includes printable division sorting activity with 10 different division problems, as well as "sorting mat" for sorting into three different categories. Includes solutions, explanations and extension.

By the way, there is a slight error in the film; did you catch it? Email me at robert@samizdatmath.com and I'll send you something speshal!

You can purchase the supporting document here separately (although you might as well buy it here, because that makes the video FREE!): Division Sorting Problems
