Description

I teach fifth grade and I really needed to break down the process for students to help them understand division. To do this, I developed this SMARTBoard lesson. It includes the following:

-Division Vocabulary with Models of three types of problems
-Step by step instructions with a fun mnemonic to help remember
-Samples of 3-digit & 4-digit numbers divided by a 1-digit number
-Samples of 3-digit & 4-digit numbers divided by a 2-digit number

I like the students to write the vocabulary and steps in their notebook. I have the students use their small whiteboards to work out the problems.

It is editable, so feel free to change it to fit your needs! I hope it is helpful.
