Mat Man is a Hand Writing Without Tears strategy to help young students learn to draw a person. It also helps to teach body parts. HWWT uses a song to teach the body parts and wooden pieces to create Mat Man. I print mine on card stock, laminate them and add Velcro to attach them to a poster board. All you need to purchase is the CD Get Set for School: Sing Along CD by Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer.
I made one for each of my students and through distance learning we all put together Mat Man while following along with the song. They are ALL engaged. We then get out our white boards and practice drawing Mat Man. My students Love IT!
