Description

This interactive Google Slide activity is great for distance learning with 4th and 7th grade Texas history classes. The Texas Rangers Timeline uses the Bob Bullock Museum's website and specifically the Texas Ranger History timeline. Students will create their own timeline, choosing events from the Texas Ranger History. A template and sample is provided to get them started. After that, students can show off their own creativity by choosing various fonts, pictures and other formatting decisions. Their timeline will also give them a chance to summarize their understanding of various events in Texas Ranger history.

For teachers, this Google Slides activity is a digital lesson, which allows you to customize it to fit you and your students needs. A rubric has been provided along with student instructions. Feel free to edit either or both to change the expectations.

This lesson is easily assignable through the google classroom. Be sure to assign it so it makes a 'student copy' so each student can freely edit the template.
