What educators are saying

This is exactly what I needed to help my struggling students. They were so focused on trying to get Tic-Tac-Toe that they tried every question that popped up,without hesitation. The feedback I got from them was all positive, and I have no complaints either.
This saved me a lot of time. All of my students really enjoyed it, and they learned a lot throughout the entire game. They even asked if we could play It again.

Description

This is a self-check game that has worked out Algebra solutions embedded. It is scaffolded through Google Slides, and is ready to use as pre-requisite/remediation/intervention activity that students can complete collaboratively without teacher support. Students have the ability to self-correct their math as they work through the game, improving engagement and confidence.

RELAX! All the hassle has been done for you :) Students get to work on Order of Operation problems specifically geared towards the Quadratic Formula. Also provided are some problems that work on the use of plus or minus and splitting the equation into 2 different equations. Student instructions and helpful hints for teachers are included in the download.

Your students will be heavily engaged and able to self-correct, allowing you to have a more free and relaxing day...EVERY teacher deserves a relaxing day!

Evaluate expressions at specific values of their variables. Include expressions that arise from formulas used in real-world problems. Perform arithmetic operations, including those involving whole-number exponents, in the conventional order when there are no parentheses to specify a particular order (Order of Operations). For example, use the formulas V = s³ and A = 6 s² to find the volume and surface area of a cube with sides of length s = 1/2.
Solve quadratic equations in one variable.
Solve quadratic equations by inspection (e.g., for 𝘹² = 49), taking square roots, completing the square, the quadratic formula and factoring, as appropriate to the initial form of the equation. Recognize when the quadratic formula gives complex solutions and write them as 𝘢 ± 𝘣𝘪 for real numbers 𝘢 and 𝘣.
