Digital Reading Response Activities {Distance Learning Comprehension}

Helping our students build their comprehension is one of our most important jobs! As we share read-alouds with our students, we build their comprehension through questioning and modeling. After our lessons, it is imperative we give them opportunities to practice on their own.

We want our students to develop a love of reading while also building their abilities to understand and discuss the books they read. These digital activities help students share their thinking about the books they read. They can be used after independent reading or class read-alouds.

In Google Slides, all of the text boxes are already there for students. In Seesaw, your students can add text boxes, drawings or photos to the slides.

For distance learning, you can do virtual read-alouds, have students listen to books on an app, or have them read books independently. They can complete one of the activities through Google Classroom, Seesaw or share the app for them to use in Google Slides.

This resource is for ONE classroom and may be shared with families through private communication (Dojo, Seesaw, Google Classroom). It may NOT be shared with other teachers or placed on public websites.
