Please don't buy this yourself. Instead, please ask your BOE to pay for it or have your JTEs help you out. Bear in mind that if you have 5 JTEs + yourself (the ALT), the English department must pay for 6 license copies. 1 license copy for each teacher. If your JTEs don't want their own, the English department can still pay for one license copy but only one teacher can use it.

* Note to JET ALTs and some direct-hire ALTs: Because your contract does NOT allow you to earn an extra income, please be mindful in taking that into consideration. In Japanese universities, foreign English teachers who develop a teaching resource can request a grant from their university to cover the cost of their expenses. It also applies to members of the Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT). Thus, with JET already offering grants for TEFL and JLPT, I encourage JETs to suggest another grant for researching & developing that would benefit the Japanese schools.
