Digital Essay Template (Google Slides)

This is a Google Slides template to assist students in writing essays.

This resource is a highly scaffolded writing guide to help students plan, outline, craft, and edit an essay. It can be used for asynchronous or synchronous instruction.

The resource starts with three digital writing anchor charts (transition words, evidence and analysis sentence starters). Then, there are slides that help students plan and prepare evidence. Then, there are slides in which students actually write introduction, body, and conclusion paragraphs. Each of these writing slides comes with a checklist that outlines what should be included in each paragraph.

The template is designed to support an essay about Egypt and Mesopotamia, but can be adapted for any digital essay.
