What educators are saying

Book reports can be boring, but this one is not! This is a great way to have students show what they've learned after reading a nonfiction text. It is straightforward and clear to students. The finish product is pleasing to the eye and great for displaying at open house. Thanks!

Description

This unique book response project is different than your typical boring book report! Students will design a folder as a response to a non-fiction book according to specific guidelines including identifying text features. What a great way to integrate literacy standards into Science and Social Studies! Students always enjoy sharing their folders with classmates on the project due date. They can present it whole group or you could set up a gallery walk type session.

This file contains 2 versions of the project along with a rubric for teacher use. I have included an on-grade level version and a modified version for Special Education students or English Language Learners.

Be sure to check out the companion Biography Project, too!
