Dialogues pour l'immersion française 1 à 5/French Dialogue Scripts

It can be hard to find grade and language level appropriate short scripts or dialogues that are still interesting for high school French Immersion students in the target language. Your students will get a kick out of figuring out what these dialogues were inspired by (they might know a few of them!) while practicing a variety of skills while they’re at it.

Use them to practice…

• Spoken French
• Using authentic and correct sentence structures
• Presentation skills
• Use of body language (part of the BC curriculum!)

These pre-written dialogues:

• Are differentiated and editable (some are simpler than others) so you can meet the needs in your class
• Last 45 seconds to 2 minutes
• Include 2-3 people per dialogue
• And are funny!

This resource includes:

• 5 different scripts so that you can have students practice different dialogues
• Relevant vocabulary and definitions to support student understanding
• Teaching strategies to give you ideas on how to use them
• PDF and Google slides versions so you can use them in person and online

FAQs

Q: Do these dialogues need to be done in person? Can they be recorded or done virtually?

A: You could easily do this in person or in a recorded Zoom call.

Q: What grades is this for?

A: This resource is intended especially grades 8 and 9 French Immersion. They have been used with younger grades and in Core French classes, but they would require a great deal of scaffolding as the language is more complex. It's familiar level French so some nuances may be lost on lower level students.

Cherchez-vous des dialogues engageants pour vos élèves du secondaire, et en français? On peut avoir de la difficulté à en trouver en français qui sont au niveau de nos adolescents d'immersion française tout en étant intéressant pour eux. Ces dialogues permettront à vos élèves de FLS de pratiquer leur français, ou vos élèves francophones de pratiquer leurs capacités en art dramatique et en art oratoire. Ils vont bien aimer deviner la source d’inspiration de ces dialogues (je suis certaine qu'ils vont reconnaître au moins un couple!) tout en pratiquant une variété d’habilités.
