Description

A journalistic follow-up to the Non-fiction Writing Analysis and Review, students find a topic to highlight by incorporating various forms of coverage on a double-page spread (directions specific to MS Publisher but can be adapted for InDesign, etc.). This is great practice or application for a news magazine or yearbook layout. It can be scored on multiple levels for concept, design, and coverage, or all three for a semester project. (Consider post-deadline when students need something to do.) Students focus on: headlines, stories, info-graphics, alternative copy and photojournalism.
