This Design a Playground culminating task for the Simple Machines and Movement unit for the Grade 2 Ontario Science curriculum (2022) is so much fun for students! It is available as both a DIGITAL (Use with Easel by TPT) and PRINTABLE version. This resource is perfect for remote learning, hybrid learning, and in-class learning.
In this project, students will design a playground using all the important information that they learned during their “Simple Machines and Movement” unit. Using their design, they will use recycled materials to create a model playground that includes at least 3 simple machines.
