Description
Are you looking for a fun and engaging activity for your students? Deserted Island Survival STEM Challenge is a unit centered around a fictional story of Suzanna Airfly who's plane crashed on a deserted island. Your students will complete five different challenges to help Suzanna survive. Each challenge encourages students to define the problem, plan a design, build, test, and reflect. I have included a rubric for each challenge.
I have also added a narrative writing extension where students will create a story about Suzanna's adventures and challenges and create an ending to her story.
