The resources provides ample practice in various domains to ensure improved proficiency. After completing the activities in this bundle, students will have a beginner’s knowledge that possessive adjectives, like other adjectives in Spanish, must agree in gender and number. They will also understand that the object that is being “owned,” not the “owner,” determines this gender and number.

THE PERSPECTIVE: Possessive adjectives can be problematic. Applying the concept that adjectives agree in gender and number can be an unfamiliar concept for L2 students. It is true that practice makes perfect and once students surrender to the “trick” through practice, they will acquire confidence in their language journey.

THE PRACTICE: Use the slides to scaffold the lesson and break down the concept of possessive adjectives. The student centered activities will allow students guided, as well as, individual practice. These resources can be used sequentially in whole class instruction, individually in small groups for differentiation, as a pop up grammar lesson or in Distance Learning.

THE PRODUCT: Six supported activities with margin and speaker notes instructions and a slide presentation for the teacher to follow the scaffolding we have used effectively in our classrooms.
