Demystifying STEM: Using what you already have
- PDF
Description
STEM education efforts seek to increase student curiosity in and engagement with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It is a fact that science, math, technology, and engineering interrelate with each other all the time. It is difficult to teach one without involving one or more of the others.
This book consists of four units with 24 STEM activities that have been developed around the student’s lifestyle and role at home, school, and in the community. For each unit, the instructor will use the language of the standards or learning objectives and allow students to think critically using concept maps and other graphic organizer. Brainstorming should be a quiet moment that should followed by group discussion, then whole class participation say writing answers around the wall or on the board. All activities can be customized to fit specific age group and suggested materials can be improvised using what is readily available.
