Decodable Fluency Passages

These decodable fluency passages come from the Reading Wonders Foundational Skills book. I like my students to practice reading passages that they will be able to easily decode on their own and these are perfect.

There are 47 passages that each focus on a different phonics skill. The passages get more difficult and longer in length each week.

There are 30 passages that focus on a different structural analysis skill (such as inflectional endings, possessive nouns, etc.). These passages also get more difficult and longer in length each week.

Each passage has a place for parents to record their child's nightly reading. There are also 3 comprehension questions on a second page for each passage.

These passages are useful for homework practice, small group practice, or assessment. Even if you do not use the Reading Wonders series, these passages would be useful in any classroom.
