Description

In this reading activity, students will compare and contrast the Declaration of Sentiments delivered by the Seneca Falls Convention, with the Declaration of Independence. They will read and compare excerpts from both documents side-by-side, and highlight differences and similarities and explain each excerpt's significance. Then, they will complete a reflection/exit ticket that asks them to consider the Seneca Falls Convention's motivations behind rewriting the Declaration of Independence.

This activity can be completed both digitally and on paper, and will take students approximately 25-30 minutes.
