Decision Tree Reflection Sheets - Great for PBIS and ABA-style Behavior Programs
Description
This is four versions of the decision tree reflection sheets I use in my classroom. Of all of the reflection sheets I use I find these to be the most effective. Instead of having the student reflect on what they did wrong, these sheets have the student create a set of options they can choose from and analyze the possible consequences for each set of options. This can be done while the student is currently considering making a negative choice (for instance, I have had students complete a sheet when they want to refuse to go to class), or students can complete the sheet after they have made a poor decision so they can consider in-depth how their previous choices have affected their day.
Not only do these decision trees really help students analyze their choices, they are also great sources of documentation, both for conferencing with students and for parent-teacher meetings or IEP/504 meetings.
Included are:
- a bullet-point decision tree with explicit instructions to consider 3 choices/options
- a bullet-point decision tree with less instructions for students with experience filling out decision trees
- a graphic-organizer style decision tree with colors/images with space for 3 choices/options
- a graphic-organizer style decision tree with colors/images with space for 2 choices/options
- gray-scale versions of the graphic-organizer style decision trees, in order to optimize black and white printing
