Description

Fluency Task Cards are an engaging way for students to practice reading with fluency and expression.

These task cards are all December themed. Students will be reading sentences relating to reindeer and Christmas. While the sentences are Christmas themed, Santa is never specifically mentioned.

There are 42 task cards with a sentence on each card. By repeated reading, students practice the sentence in segments until they read the whole sentence. This is a great way to build fluency.

There are also 20 task cards containing the same sentence with 3 different ending marks. These cards help students pay closer attention to how their voice changes depending upon punctuation.

I have included a colored version and black & white version to save on ink. I like to copy my task cards on cardstock, laminate, hole punch in the corner, and hand on a metal ring to keep them together.

You can also buy these as part of a bundle and save money!
