What educators are saying
Description
A great film that should be taught more often than it is. It is also a film with many, many more layers than you'd think, and I've taught this to an advanced Year 11 English class as well as to a Year 9 Introduction to Literature class. The zip file has a focus on hand-outs, printables and class discussion and activities. It is a full unit, with assessment notes also, and all areas covered.
Included in this zip file are:
- Character analysis PowerPoint presentation
- Contextual/historical/social issues related to the film (questions)

- Plot summary tasks (individual and group)

- Dead Poets Society specific poems (analysis and questions)

Carpe diem!
PS. Also included are the standard Raven Hall assessment sheets, as MS Word documents so you can change them easily. These have generic place holder names (for school name, novel/text name and author, and assessment title, for example) to demonstrate the formatting. Delete these and insert the relevant information for your school. The aspects to change for updating are in red.
