Description
In this project, students will research a different style of dance, and then present on it.
Dance styles are purposely chosen from all over the world, each with their own cultural and traditional history.
Dance styles include:
- Tap Dance - USA, African-American
- Highland Dance - Scotland
- Salsa - Cuba
- Disco - USA
- Sufi Whirling - Egypt
- Danza de Tijeras - Peru
- Ballet - Italy
- Irish Stepdance - Ireland
- Swing - USA
- Ballroom - Europe
- Kathakali - India
- Pasodoble - France
Project includes introductory sheet for students with assignment criteria, and a rubric for easy assessment.
