Daily ELA Exercises

These are daily/weekly activities designed to promote reading, comprehension, language skills, and writing. This product is very flexible in its potential use...it may be given to students as written work each day, it may be displayed on the overhead and completed whole class, it may be given as independent study work to help develop or reinforce necessary ELA skills. Another suggestion is to use the skills in each lesson as mini-lessons to review skills. There are a total of 32 lessons in total and the skills included in the lessons are as follows: 1. editing sentences, 2. homophones, 3. context clues, 4. fact vs. opinion, 5. antonyms/synonyms, 6. multiple meaning words, 7. figures of speech, 8. weak vs. strong adjectives, 9. connotations, 10. Greek/Latin roots and affixes, 11. descriptive writing exercises, 12. plot development, and 13. point-of-view.
