These challenges get children thinking about spelling and word building and using a variety of word skills. They love the challenge of creating as many words as possible from the given letters and also finding the word that uses all of the letters.
They are ideal for before Spring break or a Spring break packet for students to take home. A printable version and digital version is included for each activity.
BONUS WORD SEARCH ALSO INCLUDED
The collection includes the 6 word challenges and a bonus word search is also included. It is also available as both printable and digital.

WHAT IS A 'CAN YOU MAKE IT?' WORD CHALLENGE
For each challenge, students are given a group of letters. Then they get to work and try to create as many words as possible using the letters provided.
For each challenge, it is also possible to use all of the letters to create one word.
INSTRUCTIONS
A poster instruction page is also provided to clearly outline what the students do.
2 DIFFERENT FORMATS
These challenges come in 2 different formats.
Poster Format
For printing, interactive whiteboards or assigning in Google Classroom or with a link using TpT's Easel Tool. These can be printed and displayed as is or enlarged on a copier. They can also be projected onto an interactive whiteboard or assigned to students through Google Classroom or with link.
Worksheet Format
The challenges are also provided in a worksheet format. Each printable worksheet has 3 different challenges. Print or assign using TpT's Easel Tool. All 6 of the challenges from the posters are included on 2 different worksheets.

Children love the challenge of trying to make the most words or trying to be the first one to find the single word that uses all of the letters. They can work on these literacy challenges independently, in pairs or in groups.
TPT EASEL ACTIVITY
Both the poster format, the worksheet format and the bonus word search can be used as a TpT Easel Activity. Easel Activities are PDF pages that are customized using Easel then assigned to students via Google Classroom or with a link.
HOW TO USE TPT EASEL ACTIVITIES
These pages are ready for you to use but you can customize them if you like.

4. Assign the resource to your students via Google Classroom or a link.
